About The Position

Newport Beach Country Club is seeking Fitness Instructors and Trainers to join their Recreation department. The primary focus of this role is to help members achieve a healthier lifestyle. The club emphasizes a culture of enhancing relationships, enriching lives, and prioritizing members. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, genuinely care about people, enjoy building relationships, and actively seek ways to improve things and make others smile.

Requirements

First Aid and CPR certified
Current certification from A.C.E., A.C.S.M. or similar accredited college program

Nice To Haves

A degree in Kinesiology or Sports Science is preferred
Love working outdoors

Responsibilities

Instruct Group Fitness classes for all skill levels and be able to explain the exercises in a clear and efficient manner
Train members or explain how to perform various exercises/routines to minimize injuries and improve fitness
Monitor members progress and adapt programs as needed
Make meaningful connections with members and motivate them to perform the highest standard of fitness activity
Assess members and their guests' physical condition and create unique workout routines for them
Demonstrate a positive and encouraging attitude towards all students and be kind and patient with them
Make students feel comfortable before, during and after classes
Ensuring members are using correct form at all times
Setting up and cleaning of studio or gym
Instruct clients using proper form and use training equipment safely to avoid injuries
