About The Position

Assist with fitness and exercise programs for the community and employees. Perform consultations for Conditioning Club. Perform/lead exercise classes. Orient new clients to Conditioning Club equipment. Oversee the Conditioning Club and Pool. Perform clerical tasks assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Exercise Science or related field from a four-year college or university.
  • Exceed the expectations of members, prospects, employees, affiliates, and peers by maintaining focus on service as the primary objective.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in aquatic life-saving procedure.
  • CPR Certified
  • Training in First Aid techniques, aerobic certification (applicant must either have or be capable of obtaining).
  • Ability to communicate and counsel well with individuals and/or groups.
  • Skilled in the safe and proper use of machine weights, free weights and cardiovascular equipment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule to include some early morning, evening and weekend hours.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting while on duty.
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties required.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a stressful and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests.
