About The Position
This position is ECB status – requires a minimum number of worked hours per month as needed by the department; limited benefit offerings. This is a customer service job monitoring the use of the exercise floor and equipment. Assists in member services and instructor-led programming.
Requirements
- 6 months of related experience preferred
- Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or health related field preferred

Responsibilities
- Supervises members and guests using exercise facilities
- Performs blood pressure and heart rate checks for members
- Identifies members with signs/symptoms and provides appropriate response
- Provides new member education and orientation
- Instructs proper exercise technique
- Maintains safe exercise environment: identifies potential hazards and removes risk or places the area off limits
- Facilitates emergency response protocol
- Performs routine spa/pool maintenance
- Welcomes all arriving members and guests
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work area and facility
- Completes opening/closing checklists
- Performs new member enrollment
- Promotes membership by conducting tours and responding to information requests
