About The Position

To provide group exercise classes or programs to AL!VE MOVE members and guests. Creates and implements exercise routines to all fitness levels. Consistently exemplifies on-stage behavior and is responsible for the same within AL!VE. Is responsible for creating destination, experience-based group exercise classes and programs. Creating a positive environment that promotes education, creativity and health and wellness for all participants. Utilizes elements of Entertainment, Education, Emersion and Esthetics in Group Exercise to provide a unique experience for all MOVE members/customers and guest. Responsible for the design, creation, and delivery of resources necessary to deliver Group Exercise programs and services. Initiates and maintains positive relations with AL!VE card holders and guests; encourages positive lifestyle behaviors and markets programs/ services. Assumes responsibility for cleaning and maintaining of Group Exercise rooms – reorders and restocks supplies, and notifies appropriate personnel/ equipment vendor of unsafe conditions and/or equipment in need of repair. Promotes Customer satisfaction. Handles problems and/or issues. Writes articles for publication or posting. Also responsible for providing content to the Operations Coordinator for video walls in AL!VE and boards located throughout SEH. Develop relationships with and work in collaboration with local and area complementors to reduce competition and enhance child, youth and family programming throughout the region. Maintains compliance with state, federal, and accrediting bodies, as required. Attends staff meetings and in-service programs, as required.

Requirements

  • Various Group Exercise Certifications preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Certified preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of group fitness experience or minimum of 10 years of group fitness experience with a relevant certification (i.e. Yoga, Zumba/Cardio Dance, Pilates, ACE Group Exercise) or equivalent specialized certification.
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain positive relations and rapport with AL!VE MOVE members and guests.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, demonstrate various exercises, and properly operate exercise equipment/devices.
  • Knowledge of membership software and recurring billing processes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards, hospital policies and AL!VE standards.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health & Wellness preferred
