About The Position

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age and have at least one (1) year of experience as a fitness instructor, or two (2) years of participation in a fitness class; and be able to perform Water Exercise Instructor duties.
Valid Driver's License of the appropriate class.
First Aid Certification issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency.
CPR Certification issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency.
Automated External Defibrillator Certification issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency.
Certified in Aqua Fitness, Lifeguard/CPR, or equivalent
Passion for fitness and love for the water
Fun, outgoing personality—able to make members laugh while they sweat
Creative thinker who can design unique aquatic workouts
Team player who thrives in a lively, supportive environment

Nice To Haves

Aquatic Fitness Professional Certification (AFPC) issued by the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA).
Aquatic Arthritis Instructor issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency.
Certified Group Exercise Instructor issued by the American College of Sports Medicine
Water Safety Instructor Certification (WSI) issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency based on assignment.

Responsibilities

Lead high-energy water fitness classes (Aqua Zumba, HIIT, water aerobics, resistance training)
Design innovative aquatic routines that challenge, engage, and entertain
Motivate participants of all ages and fitness levels with a positive, playful attitude
Organize themed aquatic events, water challenges, and community fun days
Keep safety at the forefront while making every class feel like a party
