About The Position
The Group Exercise Class Instructor is responsible for conducting fitness classes in a safe manner as is sanctioned by the certifying entities of the fitness industry. Extensive contact with the residents and excellent people skills are required.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time; bend, stretch and reach
- High school diploma or GED.
- Required certificates from ACSM, ACE, AFAA, AEA, or Arthritis Foundation
- Required to maintain CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a quality fitness program is preferred
- Certification in a variety of land and water class modalities.
- Occasional travel may be required
Responsibilities
- Conducting fitness class as scheduled by the Fitness Coordinators Manage.
- Keeping updated on all professional exercise certifications, protocols, and trends.
- Maintain professional credits by attending workshops and seminars.
- Timely arrival to class to answer any members questions or concerns.
- Required to attend customer service in-service programs and to read required customer service materials.
