PMP is seeking a motivated, detailed, communicative, and personable professional to join our team as Fitness Center – Front Desk, Marina City Club, Marina Del Rey, CA. Property Management Professionals LLC. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Monday - Friday
  • Some Weekends
  • Able to work night shifts
  • This role is 18-23 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays

Nice To Haves

  • Previous gym and fitness experience
  • Basic First Aid & Basic Water Safety

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct members and guests.
  • Answer phones and direct calls for Fitness Center, Tennis Program, and Waters Edge Spa.
  • Collect daily fees.
  • Enforce policies and procedures set forth by Marina City Club Fitness Center.
  • Demonstrates courteous, friendly, respectful, and cooperative behaviors towards others.
  • Supports and participates in activities that promote customer service.
  • Acknowledges members/guests immediately upon entering the work area. Make sure each person checks in at the Front Desk. Handles member issues as they appear on the computer screen.
  • Courteously, accurately and efficiently answers the telephone for Fitness Center, Tennis Program, and Waters Edge Spa. Directs phone inquiries to identify staff if necessary.
  • Reports member issues to the Fitness Director.
  • Calls individuals the night before to remind them of an appointment scheduled (message, orientations to equipment, tennis reservations). Specific to Closing Staff
  • Communicates and follows the organizational chain of command for notification of member/staff services issues, when appropriate.
  • Exhibits good communication and listening skills. Speaks clearly and actively listens.
  • Able to work with diverse populations under difficult and stressful situations. Supports the team approach.
  • Utilizes positive and constructive criticism to improve overall performance. Has a positive attitude.
  • Participates in operational duties of the Fitness Center as necessary, including sales promotion and tours of the facility. Facility safety checks, office supply checks, etc.
  • Cleaning responsibilities for the front desk area.
  • Provides members/guests with a temporary locker for the time in the facility.
  • Performs any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned.
