About The Position

The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is one of the most premier places to work in Northeast Florida. This role ensures members have an enjoyable exercise experience by having a positive attitude, interacting with members, using their names when possible, providing spotting assistance as needed, and ensuring the fitness floor is safe. The position also promotes physical activity and Fitness Center programs, assists with Fitness Center operational duties (including working the Front Desk if needed), and administers CPR and First Aid as needed.

Requirements

Must be CPR certified.
Must have a working knowledge of basic exercise principles and techniques and accompanying safety features.
Must be able to move, carry and lift equipment.
Must be able to bend and reach to low and high levels.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a professional Fitness Center preferred.

Responsibilities

Be accessible to general members and guests by being visible on the exercise floor, interacting with members and guests, and promoting Fitness Center programs and services.
Greet members by name whenever possible.
Offer amenities such as water, towels, and headphones as needed.
Be aware of all fitness-related programs taking place within the club and the name of the instructor for each program.
Provide club members with general exercise knowledge when called upon.
Exhibit a caring and patient personality at all times.
Ensure Fitness Floor safety is maintained.
Perform operational duties such as maintaining towel and headphone stocks, cleaning exercise equipment, straightening fitness floor, and other duties as needed as assigned by the Fitness or Assistant Fitness Director.
Assist with Fitness Center operational duties, including working the Front Desk if needed.
Administer CPR and First Aid as needed.
