About The Position
The Fitness Floor Attendant (FFA) plays a key role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all members. This position supports daily operations by maintaining equipment, assisting with member needs, and ensuring the overall organization and cleanliness of the fitness center. The FFA also contributes to positive member experience through engagement, facility tours and general support.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful background check
- Eligibility to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Passion for exercise and knowledge about equipment
- Pursuing a degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training, Public Health, or related field
- Strong interpersonal skills: friendly, outgoing, and compassionate
- Comfortable using business software, member portals, and apps
Responsibilities
- Greet members and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Assist with new member tours and help familiarize guests with the facility
- Answer basic questions and provide guidance on equipment use
- Member tracking for utilization trends
- App assistance (Technogym)
- Clean and sanitize fitness equipment throughout shift
- Ensure towels are stocked, cleaned and organize as needed
- Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is in safe working condition
- Report maintenance issues or equipment concerns
- Perform opening, mid-day and closing duties and daily operational checklists
- Maintain a visible presence on the fitness floor to promote safety and be available for assistance when needed
- Follow all facility policies and safety procedures
- Participate in training and stay informed on best practice
