Fitness Floor Associate
About The Position
The Jewish Community Center of Louisville (JCC) is seeking energetic, friendly, and dependable Fitness Floor Staff to join our Sports & Wellness team. As a Fitness Floor Staff team member, you'll be one of the first faces members see when they enter the fitness center. You'll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by actively engaging with members, maintaining fitness equipment, and ensuring the fitness floor remains organized, professional, and inviting throughout your shift. Whether you're looking to begin a career in fitness or gain valuable experience in the industry, we'd love to meet you.
Requirements
- Current CPR/AED Certification (required).
- Passion for health, fitness, and customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and dependable.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Comfortable learning and operating a variety of fitness equipment.
- Willingness to continue learning and growing professionally.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage with members throughout your shift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness environment.
- Clean and sanitize fitness equipment regularly.
- Perform routine walkthroughs to ensure equipment, cleanliness, and member spaces meet JCC standards.
- Report equipment concerns or maintenance needs to Fitness Leadership.
- Enforce JCC Fitness Center policies in a professional and respectful manner.
- Assist members with general equipment questions and basic facility information.
- Support a positive, team-oriented culture.
