About The Position

Sentara Rockingham Memorial Wellness Center is hiring a Fitness Coordinator - Part Time Rotating schedule. This role is responsible for the oversight of the facility's fitness programming and services. The coordinator will manage operations and programs to align with the mission, values, goals, and objectives of the site as a medical fitness center, including the unique needs of its membership. This position provides day-to-day guidance and feedback to fitness staff and leadership related to the delivery of safe and high-quality programs and services. Additionally, the Fitness Coordinator conducts personal training and/or other training to individual members or in group sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - Physical Sciences (Strongly Preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI - within 90 days of hire (Required)
  • Current certification in group fitness or personal training (Required)
  • Related experience - 3 years (Required)
