About The Position

The Fitness Coordinator is responsible for the development and management of fitness programs and measurement tools for seniors in the community. This role involves assisting the Manager in monitoring daily operations of the Fitness Center, scheduling appointments, processing membership agreements, and promoting, coordinating, and implementing exercise programs. The coordinator will also develop and maintain an effective membership retention program, build a network within the community, make appropriate referrals to other services, and assist in training new department employees. Additionally, the role focuses on building relationships with residents and staff to encourage physical activity.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Health Education field required.
  • 2 years of related work experience.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of prescription, medications, and risk factors is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.

Responsibilities
