Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent (required)
Must be at least 18 years of age or older (required)
Must have a passion for fitness and working with seniors
Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
Applicants may be subject to a background check.
Employees in this position must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
Candidates must also complete a QuantiFERON Gold TB Blood Test as part of their pre-hire drug screen and physical.

National, State, County Criminal Background Checks
Federal and state exclusion screening (OIG/Medicare/Medicaid)
Pre-employment drug screening (including marijuana)

Nice To Haves

A bachelor’s degree in health science, physiology, kinesiology, fitness, or a related field (preferred)
Personal training and/or group exercise certification (preferred)
CPR and Lifeguard certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

Conduct fitness and aquatic classes, personal training, and wellness assessments.
Plan, implement, and evaluate fitness programs that promote healthy lifestyles.
Track resident participation and sustain engagement through motivation and new initiatives.
Ensure safe, clean facilities and maintain exercise equipment with preventative care.
Participate in ongoing professional development and support departmental goals as needed.
