About The Position

The Granite Club is seeking a part time Fitness Coach who will be the welcoming face and energetic presence that sets the tone for our Members’ fitness experience. The Fitness Coach will engage with members on the gym floor with genuine hospitality, promote classes and events, educate individuals on proper exercise techniques, and cover administrative duties at our front desk. Qualified candidates may become eligible to conduct Fitness Assessments and Personal Training sessions. In alignment with our commitment to fostering excellence in the fitness industry, this role offers a potential pathway for career advancement in areas such as fitness leadership, program administration, or personal training. Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in a fitness/health-related field preferred.
  • Minimum two years of active experience in the fitness industry.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and enthusiastic.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings for both weekdays and weekends as well as holidays.
  • Must maintain availability for one opening shift, one closing shift, and one weekend shift across different days unless otherwise discussed

Responsibilities

  • Member Engagement: Greet and interact with members on the fitness floor, offering encouragement and guidance that reflects an understanding of their needs and goals.
  • Front Desk Operations: Manage check-ins, respond to inquiries and maintain a consistent and polished presence that reinforces the Club’s dedication to excellence.
  • Facility Oversight: Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and organization of all fitness areas, maintaining diligence and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Event & Program Promotion: Actively promote fitness classes, wellness events, and club initiatives to enhance member participation.
  • Exercise Support: Provide basic instruction on equipment use and safe exercise techniques, coaching Members with confidence and care.
  • Health Monitoring: Conduct and record basic health assessments such as blood pressure readings, ensuring thoroughness and discretion.
  • Team Communication: Collaborate with supervisors and fellow team members to improve operations and member satisfaction. Share information clearly and consistently to support a unified team approach.
  • Security & Protocols: Follow opening/closing procedures and uphold all Club policies and safety protocols with precision.
