About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a part-time staff member for our Fitness Center for our Glenwood Location. This position pays $10.98-$13.73/hour. As a STAFF MEMBER IN OUR FITNESS CENTER at the YMCA, you assist the members in ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all. Always alert, you provide proper instruction for the members as you give orientations and move about the Fitness Center floor. You are careful to keep the fitness center and free weight room clean and safe at all times. You are friendly and patient as you assist with the orientation of new members and facilitate the onboarding of each member into the YMCA. As a key liaison between members and branch management, you keep this good rapport going as you communicate with members on a daily basis. With enthusiasm, you provide instruction emphasizing safety and proper technique. You are also conscientious about keeping equipment operating and ensuring compliance with YMCA standards.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Certified in First Aid and CPR
• Experience with nautilus, universal, free weight and cardiovascular equipment.
• Strong human relation skills.
