About The Position

The Springfield JCC is hiring motivated and energetic fitness professionals for a part-time Fitness Center/Pickleball Court Attendant position. This role supports a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable workout experience for all members and guests. The attendant provides excellent customer service, ensures the safety, upkeep, and cleanliness of the JCC Fitness Center and pickleball courts, and manages check-in procedures, collects fees, and fosters a sense of belonging within the JCC community. All employees are responsible for creating relationships with members to add value to their membership.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma required
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (will be provided)
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with members and guests
• Comfortable handling basic transactions
• Ability to work independently, follow procedures and remain organized
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Dependable, organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in an emergency situation
• Knowledge of standard practices in gyms and fitness centers
• Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
• Ability to work a flexible schedule

Nice To Haves

• Wellness and recreation experience preferred
• Interest in pickleball, recreation, or community programming is beneficial
