About The Position

Fitness Attendants primarily responsibilities are providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all members and guests using the Fitness Center. Additionally, Attendants will be responsible for assigned cleaning duties. While on shift individuals holding this position must be able to solve on-the-job issues by using effective critical thinking and decision-making skills. At all times, this person is responsible for providing quality member service.

Requirements

• Fitness: 1 year (Preferred)
• Currently CPR/AED and First Aid Certified (preferred)
• Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hrs. per week
• Knowledgeable about various fitness equipment, and wellness center activities
• Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs. for short distances
• Have knowledge and experience with basic Microsoft software programs
• Interest in the field of Health and Fitness
• Ability to display a positive, energetic attitude
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and balance professional and personal commitments
• Ability to follow policies and procedure, arrive prepared and on time for work
• Ability to work with others and collaborate
• Ability to be effective in all communication
• Ability to demonstrate outstanding service

Responsibilities

• Greet members by name upon arrival & departure of the Fitness Center.
• Offer members assistance with equipment; in addition to answer member questions regarding equipment, operational issues, workouts, if it is within your scope.
• Promote all Fitness programs including but not limited to: Personal Training, Group Exercise Classes, Bocce, Tennis/Pickleball, Charity Events, etc.
• Walk-through the facility regularly to interact with members, maintain fitness floor cleanliness, and all fitness equipment is working as intended.
• Ensure the Fitness Center stays clean and organized, disinfect and clean equipment.
• Enforce all Fitness Center rules (age limit, cell phone usage, proper attire, etc.).
• Act as a first responder in an emergency.
• Perform opening and closing procedures of the Fitness Center and pool area.
• Attend mandatory meetings.
• Actively promote events and programs hosted by the Fitness Center and The Citrus Club.
