About The Position

This position involves conducting fisheries research and monitoring field work activities based on goals developed by biologists and fisheries managers. The role includes performing area gill net surveys, estimating juvenile bull trout abundance, conducting bull trout red counts, angler creel surveys, and substrate coring. Additionally, the technician will work on management projects such as rainbow/hybrid trout suppression, Swan Lake lake trout suppression netting, and Mack Days fish check-ins. Responsibilities also include gear maintenance and data entry.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in fish biology, fish and wildlife management, ecology, biology, or a related field.
One year of job-related experience.
Combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities
