About The Position

Jones Lake Management is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Fish Delivery Biologist to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of fish and related products to customers. The position offers an excellent opportunity for growth within the organization, with potential to move into roles like Lake Management Field Biologist, Administrative Biologist, or Inside Sales after one to two seasons. The Fish Delivery Biologist will be responsible for delivering live fish to various customer locations, loading and unloading them safely, and acting as the primary point of contact for customers regarding deliveries and any issues. The role requires excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills, as well as a biology background to answer customer questions and make suggestions for lake management. A clean driving record is essential for operating the truck and ensuring the safe transport of live fish. Occasional participation in "Fish Days" may also be required, involving transport of fish from the Cincinnati Farm to other branches for customer pickup.

Requirements

• Excellent time management.
• Proficient use of smartphone apps for route planning and communication.
• Clean driving record; CDL not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to bend at waist and/or knees and lift arms at/over shoulder.
• Ability to frequently get up/down from truck.
• Ability to drive for extended periods of time, including overnight.
• Ability to work extended hours in all weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain an Ohio DOT card.
• Associates degree or higher in Biology, Fisheries or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport fish to customer locations or other branches.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
• Collaborate with the Lake Management team to understand customer needs and offer solutions for fish and lake management challenges.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure proper documentation.
• Represent the company professionally and uphold our reputation as industry leaders.
• Load and unload fish from the truck, ensuring safe and secure transport.
• Act as the liaison between the company and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
• Utilize biology background to answer customer questions and make suggestions for lake management.
• Adhere to delivery schedules.
• Operate the truck safely and responsibly.
• Participate in Fish Days, transporting fish from the Farm to other branches for customer pickup.
