About The Position

The University of New Mexico Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine is seeking a motivated, self-directed candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our team. This position will be part of the administrative team that supports the research, clinical, and education missions of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. The ideal candidate will have experience with and may be responsible for: Maintaining records of fiscal and budgetary controls, ledgers, and/or other related transactions. Process routine financial documents, reconcile financial records and analyze routine financial data. Track and reconcile expenditures on restricted and unrestricted indices. Review transactions for availability of funding and accuracy. Process complex invoices for payment. Assist accounting and administration in the development and management of research budgets. Assist with financial control procedures. The selected candidate will thrive in a frequently changing environment, and be able to establish relationships and communicate effectively with a wide variety of constituents (clinicians, research faculty, vendors, visitors) both internal and external to the department. A commitment to a high level of customer service is a must, as is the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This is a full-time, term, benefits eligible position. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
