About The Position

Namekagon Transit is hiring a Full - Time (36-40 Hours per week) Fiscal Manager to join our team. This position will work on site, at 14760 W County Rd. B. Hayward, WI 54843. The Fiscal Manager shall provide leadership and direction in coordinating all fiscal functions for Namekagon Transit.

Requirements

  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting or at least 5 years of related work experience with payables, receivables, liabilities, assets, equities, and fund balances.
  • Must have excellent mathematical abilities, including percentages, fractions, and decimals.
  • Must have experience working with QuickBooks.
  • Must be very accurate and meticulous to detail in all work.
  • Must have good working knowledge of Word and Excel for tracking and reporting purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience and knowledge of governmental grants is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll bi-weekly using Paylocity on-line software module. Maintain system for new hires, terminations and benefits.
  • Explain benefits to new hires and enroll with benefit provider.
  • Assist with other personnel issues as needed including hiring, terminations, and discipline issues.
  • Issue checks for invoices in QuickBooks software.
  • Enter receipts in QuickBooks.
  • Responsible for all invoicing to vendors, clients, agencies, counties and community partners.
  • Set up new customer and vendor accounts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate balance between records, bank accounts, state and federal records.
  • Balance checkbook with QuickBooks and bank accounts.
  • Prepare the monthly board reports for all grants and funding.
  • Must be able to meet time deadlines and maintain schedules for critical reporting.
  • Maintain all accounts in balance and make transfers within accounts as necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain a permanent record for grants with audit trail.
  • Assume lead role in annual budget preparation.
  • Prepare gas tax refund application.
  • Assist with grant claims and reporting for state and federal grants and vehicle purchases.
  • Keep organized check registers, bank statements and reconciliations.
  • Manage annual financial audit.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Transit Manager.
