About The Position

The Data Science Fiscal Manager will be accountable and responsible for the financial operations for the Data Science Program. This includes assisting in the areas of procurement, p-card processing, travel processing, maintenance of program’s operational budget including planned vs. actual, and communication of financial results to key stakeholders. The Fiscal Manager will also be responsible for maintaining our student spaces and facilities. Occasional evenings and weekends will be required. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least one year of experience in fiscal operations such as, purchase orders, accounting, budgets, and travel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of accounting principles & financial reporting
  • Organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, demonstrate attention to detail, meet deadlines, and think creatively
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and through electronic communications
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, workspace, and work discreetly with confidential records and information
  • Ability and passion for working with students, parents, faculty, staff, and college administrators
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team-oriented environment
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least three years experience in fiscal operations
  • Experience working in higher education
