About The Position

Diagnoses, repairs and disassembles transfer cases and other products to help diagnosis quality issues and reduce scrap. Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

Observes products in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble/abnormalities.
Dismantles products to identify and remove any defective parts.
Process defective part through nonconforming material procedure.
Inspect good components to verify they are conforming and able to be returned to the assembly line.
Repairs or replaces any defective parts.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
Evaluate rejects and determine root cause.
Enter evaluation data into spreadsheet to create a report including FTQT Log and FPY spreadsheet.
Introduces rework material to the line in accordance with the DDRM, (Defect Diagnosis and Repair Manual).
Actively works to minimize rework/reject material inventory.
Other duties as assigned.
