First Press Operator (Press Operator 2)
About The Position
The First Press Operator operates and maintains a two-piece, dry off-set printing press and produces high quality printed cans. This position also recognizes and communicates print anomalies to the front end to facilitate a can that will be able to run commercially in accordance with the timing and needs of company clients. Additionally, this position supports training for the Second Press Operator position. Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00am - 2:30PM. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience operating printing press
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong technical print knowledge.
- Exceptional color vision.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to work safely in press areas.
- Maintain exemplary attendance and punctuality.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead a team.
- Ability to follow direction and work individually or as part of a team.
- Self-driven and able to work with minimal oversight.
- Ability to conceptualize and problem solve.
- Ability to multitask.
- Attention to detail.
- Comply with all company standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
