About The Position

Amentum is seeking a First Officer/Co-Pilot in Las Vegas, NV. The primary purpose and scope of this role is to serve as the Second in Command (SIC) of a B737-600NG aircraft. The individual will pilot the aircraft and be responsible for transporting passengers and cargo, assisting the Pilot in Command (PIC), and ensuring the safety of everyone and everything on board. This role requires strict compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and Air Traffic Control (ATC) directives. The First Officer will manipulate aircraft controls as pilot flying (PF) and perform duties as pilot monitoring (PM) during flight operations. Prior to each flight, they will review maintenance logs, planned routes, weather reports and forecasts, Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs), and pilot information files (PIFs). Maintaining familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), the Airman’s Information Manual (AIM), the aircraft manufacturer’s Flight Crew Operations Manual (FCOM), Flight Crew Training Manual (FCTM) and Quick Reaction Handbook (QRH), the Customer’s Site Procedures Manual (SPM), and the Company’s Flight Operations Manual (FOM) is crucial. The role also involves computing aircraft weight/balance and takeoff/landing data, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Must have a US DOD TS/SCI security clearance
  • Must have a current US DHS/TSA LAS airport badge
  • Must have a current US state-issued Driver’s License
  • Must comply with all US DOT 14 CFR requirements for pilots, specifically, Parts 60, 61, 67, 117, 120, and 121 including age 65 limit, as amended by the Customer
  • Must have logged 1,500 total in-seat hours as a crewmember in fixed-wing powered aircraft
  • Must maintain training and checking currency as required by Company policy, and 14 CFR Part 121, as amended by the Customer
  • Must have a current US DOT/FAA First Class Medical Certificate (with EKG if more than 39 years old)
  • Must have a US DOT/FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with B737 Type rating and no restrictions
  • Applicants selected must be a US Citizen in order to apply for a Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Applicants selected either must currently possess a Top Secret clearance or will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment
