About The Position

With us, our insureds know they are covered starting from the moment their policy is bound to the time their claim is resolved. When one of our customers experiences a loss to their home, Kin will be the folks they call first. As an FNOL Agent, you have the opportunity to be the calming voice they hear during times of uncertainty, where you will help to effectively guide individuals through the initial components of the claims process. Details are crucial in this role as your notes will act as the stepping stone to resolution and ensure effective cross-functional communication.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in high-volume customer service environments, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Proven ability to gather, evaluate, and accurately document detailed information under pressure—recognizing that thorough notes are critical to effective claim resolution
  • Comfortable managing multiple systems and tasks simultaneously during live customer interactions, while maintaining both accuracy and empathy
  • Experience thriving in remote, fast-paced environments where priorities frequently shift and adaptability is essential
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset—proactively engaging teammates, communicating clearly, and addressing challenges before they become blockers

Responsibilities

  • Providing timely and empathetic responses to customer inquiries, offering reassurance and guidance throughout the claims process.
  • Gathering and recording key details from each call, ensuring all information is correctly documented in the appropriate claim file.
  • Partnering with other members of the Claims department to ensure accurate processing and prompt resolution of claims.
  • Completing data-entry into client claims database or other business applications.
  • Assisting in filing new loss claims that have been reported; this includes confirming damages, DOL, and other conditions of the insured’s reported loss.
  • Complete project-based work between calls as time and workload allow.
