About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a First Line Test & Evaluation Engineering Manager (Level K) to join our team in Smithfield and Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania. This position manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Test and Evaluation Engineering. The role involves developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, and setting operational goals. The manager will acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements. Additionally, they will develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. The position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 4 or more years of equivalent technical experience
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
