About The Position
Working at BC Ferries as a member of our engineering team, you will contribute to planning for a more resilient service by increasing the capacity and interoperability of vessels in our fleet. As a first engineer at the Swartz Bay terminal, you will have the opportunity to be trained on some of our most technically advanced vessels. This role is central to the safe and efficient operation of the ship’s machinery and equipment, including all operating systems and services, and requires considerable knowledge of safe work practices.
Requirements
- Transport Canada Second Class Motor certification or higher
- Technical, interpersonal, and leadership experience
- Commitment to the Company’s vision and values including safety, exceeding customer expectations and performance efficiency
