The First Cook is responsible for preparing and serving all meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and scratch-made baked goods and desserts. This role involves planning menus to meet client preferences and dietary/allergy requirements while adhering to budgeted food costs. Key responsibilities also include managing food inventory, ordering, storage, labeling, and FIFO rotation in compliance with Matrix food safety plans. The First Cook will train, support, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring a safe, clean, and team-focused work environment within a remote camp kitchen setting.
