About The Position

ARAMARK is seeking a First Cook for Hydro‑Québec, Baie‑James East. Aramark offers a 15/13 work rotation. Transportation is by plane from Bagotville and Rouyn‑Noranda airports. The employee is provided with meals, private accommodation, and access to washer and dryer. Aramark offers highly competitive group insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational diploma (DEP) in cooking or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry.
  • Strong cooking fundamentals are an asset.
  • Experience in remote camp environments is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Cook and prepare various foods following production guidelines and standardized recipes.
  • Prepare the daily menu.
  • Manage kitchen operations (staff, inventory, orders as needed).
  • Be able to meet operational needs.
  • Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment. Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude toward guests, consumers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Ensure food quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Clean the work area.
