About The Position

ARAMARK is Hiring a First Cook for Hydro-Québec, East James Bay. Aramark offers a 15 days on / 13 days off work rotation schedule. Transportation is provided by airplane from the Bagotville and Rouyn-Noranda airports. Employees are provided with meals and accommodations, private room lodging, and washer and dryer facilities. Requirements

Culinary diploma (DEP) preferred or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry.
MAPAQ certification.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation programs.
Follow all established safety regulations and procedures.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong organizational abilities.
Positive attitude, honesty, and sound judgment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.

Nice To Haves

Strong culinary skills and experience are an asset.
Previous experience in a remote camp environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of food items according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
Prepare the daily menu.
Manage kitchen operations, including staff, inventory, and ordering as required.
Be able to respond effectively to operational needs.
Set up workstations with all required ingredients and equipment.
Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food items.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, colleagues, and others.
Ensure the quality of food services and customer satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
