About The Position

Pacific Coast Producers is seeking to fill Seasonal First Responder for First Aid Station positions at their Production Facility in Oroville, CA. This role is responsible for providing immediate first aid to injured employees, assessing their condition, and determining the need for further medical attention. The First Responder will collaborate with external clinics when necessary and promptly respond to calls for assistance in all plant areas. Additionally, they will maintain an inventory of first aid supplies, ensure their availability, and perform necessary clerical and recordkeeping duties. Requirements

  • Must have National Registry Certification for EMTs
  • Must hold current Basic Life Support certification
  • Maintain all required CPR and AED certifications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both oral and written with members of management team and production team.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Work duration of season from approximately July 1 through October.
  • Must be available for shift work 6-7 days per week for season duration.
  • Successful candidates will be required to pass a drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Bi-lingual candidates (Spanish or Punjabi) are preferred for some of these positions.

Responsibilities

  • Administer timely and effective first aid to injured employees, demonstrating proficiency in basic medical procedures.
  • Provide quality and confidential first aid treatment for injured or ill employees.
  • Respond promptly to requests for assistance in all plant areas, utilizing your knowledge and skills to provide immediate support and care.
  • Maintain/inventory of first aid supplies, emergency trauma kits and first aid kits.
  • Create and maintain accurate accident/injury reports and logs.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary first aid station.
  • Handle phone calls and make radio calls.
  • Follow all safety policies and safety policies and safety procedures for care of injured/ill employees as well as other general safety.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in Food Safety and Safety Inspections.

Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $23.50 per hour.
