About The Position

We are seeking a Firmware Engineer to develop, test, debug, and maintain firmware for embedded devices and connected hardware products. The role is suitable for entry-level candidates as well as experienced engineers, with 0–5 years of relevant experience. It involves embedded systems, programming fundamentals, and hardware-software integration, while JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and CSS may support web interfaces, device dashboards, and configuration tools. The engineer will collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, QA teams, and product managers in a hybrid engineering environment. Work includes developing and validating firmware, integrating devices with APIs and cloud services, and maintaining technical documentation. The role is based in Austin, San Jose, Seattle, Dallas, or Boston, with hybrid work combining remote work and on-site collaboration according to team and project requirements. Estimated annual base salary ranges from $75,000 to $120,000, depending on experience, location, qualifications, technical skills, and employer. The posting notes that benefits vary by employer. JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and CSS are primarily web-development technologies; candidates with C/C++, microcontroller, and embedded systems experience may be better aligned with traditional firmware responsibilities.
