About The Position

This is a 1-year contract position for a Firewall Administrator at a Utilities Company. The role is based in Tampa, FL, with an expected pay rate of $57-$60 per hour. The position requires 3+ years of experience in upgrading, deploying, and implementing firewalls, with a strong understanding of VPNs, ICS protocols, and experience in regulatory environments. Check Point Firewalls are preferred, but experience with Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco, or Sophos is also acceptable. A fundamental understanding of routing and switching is necessary. The role involves supporting firewall tickets, troubleshooting, implementing and troubleshooting VPNs, and supporting large firewall upgrades. After-hours work, including implementations at 7 pm EST or MT at least once a week, should be expected.

Requirements

• 3+ Years of experience upgrading, deploying, and implementing new firewalls
• VPN knowledge: creation, configuration, troubleshooting
• Understanding of ICS protocols (ICS, Modbus, CIP)
• Experience in a Regulatory business (Socs, Nerc cip, etc)
• Fundamental Understanding of routing and switching

Nice To Haves

• Check Point Firewalls preferred
• Experience with some firewall platform in Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco or Sophos

Responsibilities
