About The Position

This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Gwinnett County Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace. Applicants must pass a comprehensive background investigation including criminal, controlled substance, driving, employment history checks, an oral interview, medical exam including drug screen, psychological and physical agility testing. This job requires a public safety background check to include motor vehicle histories, criminal histories, and fingerprinting.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License from state of residency
• Current Georgia Paramedic certification and/or current National Registry Paramedic certification
• A copy of your High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate
• Current Paramedic certification card with this application
• State of Georgia Paramedic certification prior to final job offer

Nice To Haves

• 3% pay incentive for an Associate degree
• 6% pay incentive for a Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

• Firefighter I Certification (Must be obtained within one year)
• NPQ Hazardous Materials Awareness Certification (Must be obtained within one year)
