About The Position

ASRC Federal is seeking a Firefighter Trainee to attend a firefighter course to become a certified Firefighter in support of their Vance AFB Base Operations Support Contract located in Enid, Oklahoma. The Firefighter Trainee will attend an 8-week, in-person firefighter course comprised of intense classroom and physical, hands-on training. The training includes significant classroom information requiring academic excellence for certification exams, and trainees must demonstrate exceptional teamwork, leadership skills, professional behavior, and physical fitness for strenuous training.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain IS-100.C, IS-200.C, IS-700.B, and IS-800.D certifications within seven days of selection and prior to the beginning of the firefighter course.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
• Pass the Physical Fitness Evaluation (strength, agility, and claustrophobia test) prior to the beginning of the firefighter course.

Nice To Haves

• Possess the following certifications: IS-100.C, IS-200.C, IS-700.B, IS-800.D.
• Volunteer Fire Department experience.
