About The Position
The City of Staunton Fire and Rescue Department is currently accepting applications for part-time Firefighters/EMTs to work on an as-needed, substitute basis. The successful candidate is responsible for fire suppression, prevention, and inspection duties, as well as emergency medical service.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Current minimum certification as Firefighter II
- Current minimum certification as EMT
- Ability to provide copies of current certifications and the written/physical ability test certificate upon request
Nice To Haves
- Completion of the regional firefighter test, or an equivalent examination
- Certification in Advanced Life Support
- Certification in DPO/Aerial Ops
