Firebreak Inspection Officer
About The Position
The City of Rockingham is seeking a Firebreak Inspection Officer to join the Compliance and Emergency Liaison team. This seasonal, full-time position involves conducting firebreak inspections and recording data for compliance with the City’s Fire Control Notice. The role requires liaising with property owners and stakeholders to ensure property and lives are safeguarded against fire. Requirements
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to remain self-motivated while working autonomously.
- A keen eye for detail.
- A current ‘C’ Class driver’s licence.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with the public.
- Previous experience working within bushfire control, especially conducting firebreak inspections.
- 4WD driving technique certification.
Responsibilities
- Conduct firebreak inspections.
- Record data for compliance in accordance with the City’s Fire Control Notice.
- Liaise with property owners and other stakeholders to ensure property and lives are safeguarded against fire.
Benefits
- 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
- One additional paid day of absence per annum (Local Government Leave)
