About The Position

The Firearms Specialist will assist with customer service and sales in the Sporting Goods Department. This role involves being trained to become responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all records involving firearm sales, ensuring compliance with Federal Firearms License (FFL) regulations. The position requires the individual to be at least 21 years old.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years old.
• Ability to assist with customer service and sales.
• Willingness to be trained on firearm sales record completion and FFL compliance.
• Understanding of pricing, stocking, and facing merchandise.
• Ability to assist with freight receiving and product organization.
• Capability to assist with cycle counts.
• Willingness to help maintain audit readiness.
• Commitment to understanding and adhering to NYS gun laws.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with customer service questions in the retail store.
• Price store merchandise and make price changes as directed by store management.
• Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
• Assist in receiving freight and organizing incoming products as directed by store management.
• Assist in performing cycle counts.
• Help maintain store readiness for ATF and/or internal audits.
• Acquire a solid understanding of proper sales practices to comply with NYS gun laws.
