As a Firearms Industry Buyer, you won’t just place orders, you’ll execute with precision and purpose. You’ll leverage robust historical data, performance insights, and market intelligence provided by the business to inform your decisions, identify opportunities, and negotiate stronger deals. Armed with these insights, you’ll confidently double down on high-impact purchases, optimize margins, and ensure we stay ahead of demand in a highly competitive market. This role is equal parts strategist, relationship builder, and deal closer.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of purchasing experience (firearms, sporting goods, or tactical gear strongly preferred).
  • Deep familiarity with firearms brands, SKUs, and industry trends.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate historical data into actionable buying strategies.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence partners, and become a trusted contact with vendors.
  • Skilled negotiator and closer, you know how to push for the best deal and get it across the finish line.
  • Strong systems and technical skills for forecasting, reporting, and inventory analysis.
  • Clear communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Working knowledge of ATF compliance and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day purchasing of firearms, ammunition, and accessories across key distributors and manufacturers.
  • Leverage historical sales data and analytics to identify trends, forecast demand, and guide strategic buying decisions.
  • Use data-driven insights to double down on high-performing categories, products, and vendors.
  • Build, develop, and deepen vendor relationships to unlock better pricing, improved terms, and priority access to high-demand inventory.
  • Negotiate aggressively and effectively, securing wins that improve margin, availability, and competitive positioning.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and operations teams to align purchasing with promotions, launches, and inventory flow.
  • Continuously monitor market dynamics, pricing shifts, and competitor activity to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Ensure product listings are accurate, compliant, and optimized for conversion and discoverability.
