About The Position

Ahern is hiring a Fire Systems Technician - Service in Appleton, Wisconsin. Under the guidance of a Superintendent, the technician inspects, services, and commissions existing fire alarm and special hazards fire suppression systems, ensuring work is completed in accordance with safety, design, budget, and schedule parameters. The role includes daily customer interaction and providing service that builds customers’ confidence in Ahern for future needs. Occasional travel is required.

Requirements

One to three years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Commitment to maintaining current industry knowledge.
Ability to execute tasks with a high degree of detail.
Willingness to travel occasionally.

Nice To Haves

NICET Certification Level I and/or Level II is preferred.
VESDA Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Inspect existing fire alarm and special hazards fire suppression systems.
Service existing fire alarm and special hazards fire suppression systems.
Commission existing fire alarm and special hazards fire suppression systems.
Ensure work complies with safety, design, budget, and schedule parameters.
Interact with customers daily and provide excellent customer service.
