About The Position

Ahern is seeking a Fire Systems Technician - Service (Fire Alarm Technician) to join their team in Chicago, IL. This role involves the inspection, service, and commissioning of existing fire alarm and special hazards fire suppression systems. The technician will work under the guidance of a Superintendent and ensure all work adheres to safety, design, budget, and schedule parameters. A significant aspect of the role includes interacting with customers and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• 3+ years of inspection and service experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• A commitment to maintaining cutting-edge industry knowledge.
• Ability to execute tasks with a great amount of detail.

Nice To Haves

• NICET Certification Level II and above is preferred.
• VESDA Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities
