About The Position

Ahern is seeking a Fire Systems Technician (Fire Alarm Technician) in Chicago, IL. This role involves programming fire alarm and special hazards fire suppression systems, ensuring adherence to safety, design, budget, and schedule parameters. The technician will also interact with customers daily, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their satisfaction.

Requirements

• 3+ years of programming experience
• NOTIFIER Certified on large, networked systems, including voice is a plus
• VESDA Certification is a plus
• NICET Certification is a plus
• Experience on large, profile projects
• Ability to work independently & participate in the planning and execution of work
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
