About The Position

We are seeking a Fire Systems Project Manager to support large-scale construction and infrastructure projects focused on fire alarm, detection, suppression, and life safety systems across complex mission-critical environments. This role will oversee fire protection scopes including fire alarms, detection systems, suppression systems, and associated fire protection plumbing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing fire/life safety projects within active construction environments while coordinating closely with field teams, subcontractors, engineers, and clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing fire protection or fire systems projects
  • Strong understanding of: Fire alarm systems, Detection and notification systems, Fire suppression systems, Sprinkler systems and fire protection plumbing, Life safety codes and compliance requirements
  • Experience within commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or large infrastructure construction environments preferred
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards and coordination with local AHJs
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project scopes simultaneously
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience with systems such as Simplex, Notifier, Siemens, Edwards, Honeywell, Victaulic, or similar platforms/products is preferred
  • NICET certification is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates may come from fire protection contractors, life safety integrators, MEP contractors, or large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects with significant fire protection scopes.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical facilities, data centers, manufacturing plants, airports or healthcare environments is highly desirable.
  • We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Project Manager who can successfully lead fire and life safety scopes while maintaining strong coordination between field teams, subcontractors, engineers, and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of fire protection and life safety projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout
  • Oversee installation and coordination of: Fire alarm systems, Fire detection systems, Fire suppression systems, Sprinkler and fire protection piping systems, Life safety infrastructure and related controls
  • Coordinate with clients, AHJs, subcontractors, engineers, vendors, and field personnel throughout project execution
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, RFIs, submittmits, and change orders
  • Ensure systems are installed in accordance with code requirements, project specifications, and safety standards
  • Support testing, inspections, commissioning, and final turnover activities
  • Coordinate closely with MEP, controls, electrical, and construction teams to maintain project schedules
  • Identify and resolve technical and field-related issues proactively
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders
