Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade school preferred
2+ years of experience (preferred) in fire system inspection, testing, or a related field
NICET (preferred) certification in Inspection & Testing of Fire Alarm Systems and/or Water-Based Systems preferred
Knowledge of applicable NFPA codes and standards
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Nice To Haves

NICET Level I or II
OSHA 10 or 30
State-specific fire alarm or sprinkler licenses (if applicable)

Responsibilities

Perform inspections and functional testing of fire protection systems, including but not limited to: Fire alarm systems
Testing and Compliance
Acceptance Testing
Reporting
Document all testing results, deficiencies, and repairs in accordance with NFPA standards and company protocols.
Generate clear and accurate inspection reports using company-provided software or tools.
Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to bring systems into compliance.
Communicate findings to clients and recommend solutions or next steps.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes and standards, particularly NFPA 72.
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working order.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
