About The Position

This role involves performing direct field labor work under guidance from Team Leaders and Managers for service project delivery. The work requires specialized knowledge in diagnostics and repair, including inspection and testing of fire sprinkler and suppression systems, intermediate repair and maintenance, safety and compliance, documentation and reporting, and customer communication and coordination. It also includes O&M field labor support when necessary. The technician will perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems, and other related building system products at customer sites. They will service, troubleshoot, and install systems from various manufacturers, including Simplex and ANSUL. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals, as well as managing daily service calls, customer activity, and program system products. The role involves working with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Outstanding Customer facing service and problem-solving skills
  • PC Skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Valid US driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Any Manufacturer certifications is a plus; ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem RMEI
  • Preferred Multi License

Responsibilities

  • Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.
  • Work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.
  • Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
  • Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.
  • Inspect customer systems.
  • Use of Smart Phone and Equipment.
  • May include government work.
