About The Position

State Fire is a leading fire protection provider , specializing in fire sprinkler systems, alarms, suppression systems, and security solutions. We’re looking for a Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team in Salt Lake City . If you have experience with fire sprinkler systems and hold RME-I and Backflow licenses , we want to hear from you!

Requirements

• RME-I and Backflow licenses (required)
• Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, fire/building codes, and OSHA regulations (MSHA preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills in English
• Availability for on-call work when needed
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs
• Work in tight spaces and various environments (indoors and outdoors)
• Lift and carry up to 70 lbs
• Operate a motor vehicle safely

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with NFPA, state, and local codes
• Check sprinkler heads, pipes, valves, and alarms for proper function
• Perform system tests, including water flow, pressure, and alarm functionality
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to keep systems operating safely
• Perform service work and service calls , as necessary
• Travel within the region (overnights may be required)
