About The Position
Wiginton Fire Systems is seeking experienced fire sprinkler foremen to lead and train teams in the installation of water-based fire protection systems, including fire sprinklers, standpipes, and fire pumps.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of materials, tools, equipment, and installation procedures, including NFPA Standards
- Physical stamina for laborious and strenuous work, including overtime up to 25 hours per week if necessary
- Minimum of 4 years of fire sprinkler installation experience, preferably as a foreman
- Excellent communication, training, and planning skills
- Integrity, organizational ability, and enjoyment of independent and outdoor work
- Valid driver's license meeting all Insurance Carrier requirements
- Previous fire sprinkler installation and foreman experience
Nice To Haves
- Certified state/federally accredited Journeyman
Responsibilities
- Lead and train the installation of fire protection systems
- Execute fire sprinkler design plans
- Manage materials delivered to job sites
- Use hand and power tools, including cutting and threading pipe
- Collaborate with general contractors, other trades, and field supervisors to ensure smooth installations
- Maintain accurate daily documentation
- Oversee and mentor helpers and coaches
- Read and understand drawings and blueprints
- Test piping systems for leaks and read gauges
- Climb ladders and scaffolds, working at heights exceeding 40 feet
