The responsibility of a Fire Sprinkler Fitter is to install sprinkler head, valves, and steel and CPVC pipe in newly constructed structures and renovations to existing structures with minimal supervision. This role involves cutting, fabricating, and installing pipe, as well as fitting various valves and components according to blueprints. The Fitter is also responsible for maintaining a clean work area, servicing tools, reporting progress to a foreman, and assisting in the training of apprentices. Adherence to safety programs, including Hazardous Communication and SDS, is mandatory. Participation in weekly Toolbox talks and ensuring all safety documentation is accessible are key aspects of the job. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
