About The Position
Symons Fire Protection, Inc. is a premier, full-service fire-life safety contractor with over 30 years of experience in the design, installation, inspection, and maintenance of residential and commercial fire sprinkler and fire alarm/low voltage systems across Southern California. We are committed to operational excellence, high-quality craftsmanship, and unwavering safety standards. As our team expands, we are seeking a dedicated Fire Sprinkler Fitter to support our mission.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of full-time fire sprinkler installation experience.
- A current, valid California Certified Fire Sprinkler Fitter Card.
- Experience with steel pipe and/or CPVC systems (both preferred).
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow and provide directions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic familiarity with mobile devices is required.
Nice To Haves
- Clean driving record is a plus.
- Experience using Paycom, Outlook, and BuilderTrend is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Safely install residential (CPVC/plastic) and commercial (steel) fire sprinkler systems.
- Interpret blueprints, construction plans, and layouts accurately.
- Install, modify, and troubleshoot fire sprinkler piping networks according to NFPA 13, 13R, and 13D standards.
- Work independently while maintaining high productivity and clean craftsmanship.
- Represent Symons professionally when talking with builders, inspectors, and jobsite superintendents.
